Gary also began his musical education at the age of eight, learning guitar, piano, mandolin, drums and harmonica, and has been composing and recording his own music and playing in countless local bands for the past 35 years. He has opened for such greats as The Mamas and the Papas, and has always used music to help needy families in his community by organizing benefits with his fellow local musicians.

Natasha is a classically trained violinist. Starting her musical training at age 8, she was a member of the New York Youth Symphony and studied at the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College, making the transition from the world of classical to contemporary music after returning from a 10 year stay overseas in 2002. She has played and recorded with several New York/Long Island musicians, co-founding her current band Porch Groove in 2010.
About Us
Elegant Gatherings was established in 2011 by Natasha and Gary, both members of the acoustic folk trio Porch Groove. After providing the ceremony music for a friend’s wedding, word of mouth created more and more requests for this service out of which Elegant Gatherings was born. We have performed wedding ceremonies and cocktail hours in Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont and upstate New York, as well as locally on Long Island. No destination is too far, and arrangements can be made to accommodate your needs and wishes.
The greatest effort will be made to provide you with the high quality, professional service you deserve, helping to make your special day all that you imagined it would be. You can always be sure that when you hire Elegant Gatherings, Natasha and Gary will be the musicians performing at your event.
We will be more than happy to work directly with your wedding/event planner prior to the big day to ensure proper timing, and we will review the cues that we need the day of your wedding with your officiate prior to the ceremony, however we can also arrange to be at the rehearsal if you so wish. Elegant Gatherings will also gladly provide music during rehearsal dinners and for Sunday brunches after weddings, so please ask about our services for other wedding related events. A full band with bass and percussion is available as well, enabling us to add a different sound to the various stages of the event.
